Faster game development, better upscaling tech, and PSVR 2 are among a few highlights from GDC 2022!
Last week, BLOCKLORDS was overwhelmed by nearly 17,000 attendees visiting their booth as part of their premiere at the Game Developers Conference gaming industry event in San Francisco, California.
Event attendees started lining up early to get a sneak preview of BLOCKLORDS’ augmented reality (AR) experience. “We were overwhelmed by the response of all attendees visiting our booth allowing us an opportunity to talk about our public beta release launching soon this year”, said Dane Hamer, Director of Growth for BLOCKLORDS at MetaKing Studio.
Gamers from all around the world gathered with developers to see BLOCKLORDS firsthand, previewing developments slated to arrive within the next year and discussing what they want to see from the future of gaming.
Inside the BLOCKLORDS Dynamic AR Gaming Experience
BLOCKLORDS was without a doubt one of the most popular booths at GDC. As spectators walked in, they were greeted by a giant screen that resembled a magic mirror, beckoning them from the exhibition floor with its floating words.
GDC attendees found themselves immediately immersed in the BLOCKLORDS AR experience. Everyone who interacted with the AR mirror entered into the medieval metaverse of BLOCKLORDS as their own avatar and was given the freedom to shape their experience. The images of a Lord and Lady appeared in the mirror as if summoned by magic. With the wave of a hand, visitors could customize their look and make their first mark on BLOCKLORDS history.
BLOCKLORDS additionally hosted an exclusive GDC contest: One lucky GDC attendee would win a medieval helmet fashioned after the game’s Knight player path. Attendees lined up en masse to battle for the ultimate prize. Only the best Lord or Lady would be chosen!
